  Such a great selection of foods that you don't see in most Buffets. I think I hyped myself up a little bit too much expecting more than it was but it still wasn't too disappointing !
  
  Of course the food there isn't what you typically expect in a buffet it's more gourmet kind of foods. Cold stations hot stations and bbq also making your own udon/ ramen. Which was such a nice touch to the whole buffet. The sushi was pretty good as well. A lot of speciality rolls so you can try and pick your favorites. Stuff you have never tried and not to mention the desert section. Fresh fruits and so much sweets to choose from
  
  The only disappointment was that the food selection on the hot side was very limited. Didn't have as much as I expected. But Minado is know for sushi so I wasn't too disappointed.
  But definitely will come back, the service here is amazing !

  Came here for the husband's birthday, expectedly it was very busy for a Saturday evening though we were able to get a table (in the most dimly lit corner).
  
  Upon my first walk around, I was impressed with the diversity and multitude of dishes available, just the sushi/sashimi wing had the most different types of sushi I've seen in one place (eel and uni included).
  
  There is a hibachi, ramen/udon and crepe station which were all very popular. I probably spent most of the sitting doing return trips to the crepe station, there was a good selection of fillings for the crepe including pineapple, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peaches, bananas, Nutella and whipped cream (the canned stuff). The fruit was fresh and regularly topped up by the attendant, whom was also very prompt and efficient in getting through people's orders. The crepe station was definitely the highlight for me! :D
  
  Other super popular items were the snow crab legs and oysters which my husband was devouring by the pound. I quite liked the baked salmon and other (non-crumbed) fish dishes in the hot food section. The plump shrimp and pineapple skewers were delicious and recommended. Teriyaki chicken was great. The salads looked unloved and sad, so I question how long they were sitting there before being changed out or topped up, I understand people don't go to buffets for salad but a standard should be kept across the board.
  
  Dessert are my favourite but Minado's range and quality were severely lacking, most of which just looked and tasted like bulk items bought from Costco. If anything, the fruit yoghurts were decent. There's a vanilla and matcha soft serve ice-cream dispenser too which was good.
  
  The waiters were very friendly and helpful, regularly checking on everyone's tables. If there was something that was out at the buffet, you can ask to have it made which was nice. Price vs quality, I think you can find better options elsewhere. It's advised to avoid weekend evenings too, though things wound down noticeably after 8-8:30pm.
  
  Tip - instead of going with whipped cream on your crepes, substitute for the ice-cream that's right beside the station! Happy eating :)

  This is the 1st time I've been back to Minado in around 10 years, and i still feel the same - a bit overpriced for what you get.
  
  the food is mostly good, not great- that goes for both type of food, amd quality.
  
  Compare to Mizumi in Little Neck.
  
  for similar, or slightly less money, i much buffets such as DJ's in Garden City.  even for japanese offerings, the sushi and sashimi at DJ's is outstanding quality for a buffet, but only "good" at Minados.
  Minados does however get an A+ for rice based sushi variety.
  
  Probably my favorite part of the Minados meal is actually the soft-serve green tea icecream, which is superior quality.

  My nieces grew up eating here and wanted to have a family party before the summers end. Walking in, it's very deceiving because the restaurant is huge! In Suffolk County all of these All You Can Eat places pretty much closed, if they followed the model of Minado then they'd still be in business.
  
  Walking in on Sunday afternoon for lunch, we were seated promptly. The hostess gave us our silverware / chopsticks and off we went. This was a different experience than all of the typical AYCE places. I first zero'd in on the hot ramen being served. Very flavorful, it was the right amount to get the Minado party started.
  
  Next, fish selections. They had a nice roasted whole fish as well as shrimp that was pretty tasty. My nieces grab my hand and tell me you HAVE to try the rolls! I grabbed a few different selections, I rarely eat this type of food so it's all the same to me. The roasted fish along with the various rolls made me a happy pappy.
  
  While all of us took turns in trying the different items, our servers were constantly taking our plates away and filling our water glasses. The servers were very good at keeping us happy.
  
  What I loved was the different salads. I was able to make a nice mixed salad and I topped it with shrimp, very unique to an AYCE buffet.
  
  When it was time for dessert, is that flan?? The dessert items like fresh mango was a nice treat to end our meal.
  
  If this was lunch offerings, imagine dinner? Minado, I thank you for making our family dinner special.

  Wish someone had reminded me to wear a dress or loose pants when it comes time to indulge in these buffet places. Used to go to the one located in Little Ferry NJ which is now a hotpot restaurant.
  
  Wide range of selection especially if you are seafood (or s-e-e-food) lover. It had many sushi choices and I was so happy to see some sashimi choices too. My favorite was the sashimi salad. So fresh!
  
  Even if you aren't a fan of raw fish, there were soup noodles (ramen and udon) along with many cooked food choices such as short ribs, steam clams, tempura, stuffed mushrooms, snow crab legs and more. The dessert section was also quite impressive especially the crepe station and the chocolate fountain. I was also pleasantly surprised to see slices of mangoes served too!
  
  Restaurant was spacious but filled up pretty quickly. Whether you are vegetarian or meat- or seafood lover, this place would certainly fill you up.
  
  Again, make sure you wear loose clothing if you want to get your money worth! Happy feasting.
